Learn a range of mind and body relaxation techniques, as well as a variety of lifeskills, including practical advice, cognitive re-framing strategies and emotional well-being support.

Understand how to recognise the stress in your life and learn how to manage it more effectively.

The courses are open to the general public and are run by Kate, a registered Holistic Health Practitioner, Stress Management Consultant and EMDR Trauma Therapist, who has over 20 years of experience of running therapeutic groups and individual sessions in the NHS. Kate provides a safe and supportive environment, as well as a relaxed, light-hearted and positive approach.

Stress Awareness Workshops

For those who may be more restricted on time and wish to learn a range of health, well-being and coping skills in one economical session, including practical stress-relieving techniques.
Also suitable for specific groups of people or staff for training days or team building events.
Bespoke workshops available at other dates and locations, including larger groups if needed. Please contact for more details.

Sleep
'Repairing Broken Sleep' One day Course

This workshop is for you if...
  • Classic 'sleep' techniques don't work
  • You struggle getting to sleep or staying asleep
  • You suffer from nightmares or night terrors
  • You are not getting refreshing sleep
  • Your sleep is impacting on your day-day functioning
​

Join this supportive and interactive workshop to gain valuable information and practical strategies that have been evidenced to improve sleep, particularly where there is a stress or trauma element involved. Additional benefits include improvement to health, wellbeing and management of stress and anxiety.

 

There is no need to share personal information, however people are encouraged to relax and participate in the workshop, which takes a light-hearted and positive approach. The workshop is run as a small group to ensure individual needs and goals are met.

 

Along with valuable neuroscience and psychoeducation, you will explore and practice a variety of helpful mind and body techniques, including sleep yoga, mindfulness and strategies to tackle nightmares and night terrors. Please bring a yoga/exercise mat and blanket if possible.

Please note: if your sleep disturbances are attributed to interruptions from others - e.g. children or partners, then this workshop will still be beneficial regarding your general health and wellbeing, but obviously may not increase your sleep. However these techniques have been proven to be affective in pain management and hormone balancing if these are issues you are faced with.
